A few of my favorite pieces I worked on over my career as an advertising sales representative and corporate marketing writer. I was blessed to have positions where I could use my creativity and writing skills, as well as work with some awesome people!
A multi-week advertising campaign for a local car dealer to promote their sales representatives. I bought the nose/glasses at a local party shop and found the jail bars at a local fencing company.
A postcard promoting two Principal mutual funds that were named to Mutual Funds magazine's top list of 100 funds. Thank you. Thank you very much!
A direct mail campaign to build awareness and demand for a suite of technology-driven solutions for sales representatives. Pizza-related prizes were awarded, including retail coupons, pizza kits, and cookware. Each slice of the pizza shaped brochure lifted to feature different solutions. The brochure was printed with pizza scented ink and was mailed in a pizza box along with contest information. Candy mints and a package of pepper flakes were included in the mailing to support the pizza theme and add even more sensory involvement. Talk about in-the-box thinking!
A sales contest built around a fishing theme.
A sales contest built around a grilling theme.
A mailer announcing winners of a sales event. The announcement was inside a champagne bottle with foil, chocolates, and a wine bottle opener.
A campaign to promote company pension plans, including a poster, dining room table tent, and payroll stuffer.
A sales contest announcement mailer built around a "kick it up a notch" theme. The main brochure was designed as a cookbook featuring recipes and pepper facts with different tabs to separate the contest information. Attached to the cover of the main brochure was a small bottle of Tabasco sauce. We had to include a napkin in the mailing package per the post office just in case the Tabasco bottle broke during mailing. Thank you, Emeril, for the creative inspiration!
A mailer announcing a sales contest built around a Harley theme and the Born to be Wild song from the movie Easy Rider. From the mailer: "Get your motor running. Head out on the highway. Look for some extra cash. Or whatever sales come your way." Sound familiar to the song lyrics?
